Alcohol Education for the Workplace

Responsibility Works is a new eLearning tool that provides fundamental information around alcohol to assist employees in making informed and responsible choices about alcohol. The course content includes core knowledge on:

  • What alcohol is
  • How it affects people on an individual basis
  • What alcohol responsibility means
  • The consequences of impaired driving
  • The impact of alcohol on health and well-being

How does Responsibility Works help employers?

Responsibility Works educates employees so they, as ambassadors of their company or organization, can model and promote responsible alcohol consumption. Responsibility Works empowers employees to make responsible and mindful choices about alcohol in both their professional and personal lives.

Throughout Responsibility Works, U.S. guidelines on alcohol consumption, drink standards, and laws are referenced. Following low-risk drinking guidelines, including decisions to drink or not drink, as well as obeying all alcohol-related laws, are essential to maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

What does Responsibility Works entail?

The program includes five units that can be assigned to employees. Each unit consists of learning objectives, interactive content, and a summative assessment to keep employees engaged while learning more about alcohol and responsibility. Units include:

  • The Basics of Alcohol
  • Drunk and Impaired Driving
  • Health and Well-Being
  • Responsible Drinking
  • Employee Scenarios

As a brief and informative alcohol education online course Responsibility Works is suitable for use among all employees as part of Human Resource training, new employee onboarding, sales training, or a health and well-being initiative during key times of the year (e.g., Alcohol Responsibility Month, National Impaired Driving Prevention Month).

How to use Responsibility Works?

Responsibility Works was built on a web-based platform that allows users to easily access the program using their web browser. The platform is optimized to work on both PCs and Macs but scales content based on screen size allowing for use on devices as small as tablets.

Dashboard for Administrators

When you register your company to use the Responsibility Works program, you have access to an administrative dashboard that enables administrators to easily oversee their organization and employees’ participation. The dashboard allows administrators to track and manage employee progress, view companywide metrics, and set up branch organizations. Companies can tailor the look and feel of the program by:

  • Customizing the course to include company logo and branding
  • Assigning specific units to employees
  • Including company-specific resources at the end of each unit
